Overordnede kursusmål
The objective of this course is to understand the foundations of sustainable financing and how to decarbonate society through finance. We look at transition risks and climate risks and which financial instruments are used to encourage the development of green projects on macro and micro level in organizations and in society.
Læringsmål
En studerende, der fuldt ud har opfyldt kursets mål, vil kunne:
  • Explore global trends on impact investment approaches to promote sustainability.
  • Understand how regulatory changes affect loans, debt, and investments (e.g., EU taxonomy, green bonds, standards etc.)
  • Ability to measure non-financial performances (various ESG standards, CO2 emissions and its scopes, external verification)
  • Analyze the social, ecological, and economic impacts of global regulations and impact finance.
  • Create legitimate sustainability claims based on legal frameworks.
  • Examine how regulations shape sustainable financing and green project development.
  • Evaluate financial risks and returns of sustainability-focused investments.
  • Know how to lead sustainable change as an intrapreneur (micro-level) and entrepreneur (macro level) through financial strategies, impact investments and behavior economics.
Kursusindhold
The goal of this course is to give a solid understanding of sustainable financing, covering regulations, debt mechanisms, and investments that support green projects across industries. The course will explore key financial tools related to impact finance like green bonds, EU taxonomy, impact investing, and venture capital while analyzing global trends and regulatory changes that influence sustainable finance. The course addresses the social, ecological, and economic impacts of regulations, as well as the risks and returns of sustainability investments. At the same time the course considers economic rebound mechanisms and behavioral rebound mechanisms. By course end, participants will be ready to integrate sustainability into corporate financial strategies and drive organizational change considering human behavior.
