Kursusindhold
In an increasingly interconnected world, where digital technologies are integral to every aspect of our life and of business operations, the need for effective cybersecurity has become paramount. Indeed, as companies increasingly rely on digital systems for their products and infrastructures, they inherently become more vulnerable to cyber attacks.

Cyber threats are constantly evolving, becoming more sophisticated and persistent over time. Nowadays, cyber threats are among the most critical business risks facing corporations, including financial loss, reputational damage, legal liabilities, and the compromise of sensitive data. It's therefore essential to understand that any organization leveraging digital technologies faces cyber risks. The question is no longer whether a cyber attack will occur or not, but when it will and how effectively respond to that.

To ensure the long-term success and resilience of an organization, it thus becomes crucial to focus on cybersecurity at all levels, including the board room. Indeed, in today's digital age, board members, directors, and executives bear the responsibility of ensuring that their organization is adequately protected against cyber threats. This requires board members, directors, and executives to possess a comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity and its management in a business context. Indeed, cybersecurity is no longer only a technical concern confined to the realm of IT departments, but a business and governance challenge permeating every facet of organizational functionality. Effective cybersecurity requires the active involvement of key decision-makers to oversee the company’s risks effectively, to understand and assess emerging threats and the organisation’s response to them. However, key decision-makers often lack sufficient knowledge and competences to be able to understand and address cyber risks appropriately and thus to take well-informed decisions.
