The main objective is to understand how to implement sustainable business models within a company.
Læringsmål
En studerende, der fuldt ud har opfyldt kursets mål, vil kunne:
  • Identify local and global models aligning sustainability and business goals
  • Evaluate trade-offs inherent in business models for sustainability
  • Align operational incentives across business growth and sustainability
  • Analyse leadership skills and mindset needed to initiatie business models for sustainability
  • Assess strategically suitable cross-sector partnership solutions for sustainability
  • Apply theoretical concepts on sustainable business model to practice in a simulation game
  • Design a sustainability strategy applicable to a specific value chain context
  • Argue and defend selection of sustainability strategy choices, applying trade-off analysis
Kursusindhold
Despite a pressing need for organizations to solve complex sustainability challenges, implementing sustainable business models is complex and full of trade-offs. It often involves engaging with stakeholders across the company’s entire value chain as well as cross-sector partnerships, and ensuring incentive alignment across business growth and sustainability. The first half of this course will explore current trends in sustainability in general, the international standards and legal environment of sustainability, followed by strategies for sustainable business model change, value chain engagement, cross-sector partnerships, and multi-sector stakeholder incentive alignment. The second half of the course will be a hands-on simulation to practice implementing sustainable business model change within a company.
