Overordnede kursusmål
This course encompasses the process of managing organisational change and transitions. It enables students to learn how to manage change processes and how to navigate individual, group, and organisational perspectives. This is achieved by introducing theories and models of change management, applying these to practice cases in the context of engineering services, and developing action strategies in relation to a specific organisational-change case
Læringsmål
En studerende, der fuldt ud har opfyldt kursets mål, vil kunne:
  • Repeat elements of the change management process in organisations, including the visioning, delivering and sustaining of the change
  • Apply theories and models of change management to a practical case of organisational change
  • Plan and execute project work within a group of diverse team members
  • Identify and evaluate the suitability of a practice case of organisational change
  • Feedback within the group and to other groups about the application of course material to practice
  • Plan and execute collaboration with an organisation to study change management in practical context
  • Investigate a practical case of organisational change
  • Write a clear and concise consultancy report about a practical case of organisational change
Kursusindhold
The course focuses on the systemic management of organisational change and transition processes. It introduces core theories and models for change processes, from visioning the change, to delivering the change, and sustaining the change. A specific case of an organisaitonal transition based on the teachers research in the area of engineering-service transition in Danish manufacturing is used throughout the course to apply and exemplify the theories and models. In addition, specific examples are presented through guest lectures from a number of institutions. Based on the learnings in the course, the students will identify, investigate, and analyse a self-chosen practice case of organisational change.
