Læringsmål:

En studerende, der fuldt ud har opfyldt kursets mål, vil kunne:
  • Understand the configuration and control of CNC machine tools.
  • Compile and execute standard CNC programmes for multi-axis machine tools in both high level language and code format, including canned cycles and subroutines.
  • Apply parametric programming techniques to standard and specialized CNC machine tools such as laser welding machines.
  • Understand the applications and limitations of programmable logic controllers.
  • Understand the application and limitations of Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM).
  • Evaluate materials handling systems.
  • Understand tooling systems, preset tooling and tool maintenance.
  • Understand the concepts of MRP, CAPP and GT.

Kursusindhold:

Introduction to CIM. Fundamentals of NC programming; cutter compensation and constant surface speed; canned cycles and subroutines. High level programming – Automatically Programmed Tools (APT). Parametric programming and macros. Direct and Distributed Numerical Control (DNC). Materials handling systems - workpiece location and fixturing, pallet changing systems; tooling systems and automatic tool changing. Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)s. Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM). Materials Requirement Planning (MRP), Computer Aided Process Planning (CAPP), Group Technology (GT). Overview of non-standard CNC machine tools and their configurations and modes of operation.
