Through instruction and workshop training, the students will be
able to:
• Characterize manufacturing processes such as turning, milling,
grinding and drilling on the basis of practical exercises.
• Explain the principles and use of these processes, and use them
in a workshop environment.
• Explain and use a number of measuring methods and instruments for
the determination of length, roughness and angles.
• Acquire knowledge in using tolerances.
