Introduction to scientific work in Operations Management.
Læringsmål:
En studerende, der fuldt ud har opfyldt kursets mål, vil kunne:
Review state-of-the-art in defined Operations Management
subjects.
Apply literature findings and/or methodology to examples or
case studies.
Critically evaluate scientific contibutions.
Gain an overview of the specific areas in operations management
covered in the the seminar.
Present a scientific report.
Engage in a scientific discussion.
Act as a reviewer for a scientific report and
presentation.
Develop ideas for future research in Operations
Management.
Kursusindhold:
Starting from a list with recent scientific publications, the
participants will review the state-of-the-art in defined Operations
Management subjects.
The findings and/or methodology will then be applied to examples or
case studies. The literature will then be critically evaluated and
promising future reserach direction pointed out.
This work is comprised in reports and presented during the seminar.
Also part of the course is to act as an opponent whose role is to
start a scientific dicussion on a subject presented by a fellow
student.
