Overordnede kursusmål:

The overall objective of this course is to introduce the students to advanced methods in the areas of image and video coding, motion estimation, video processing and related areas.

At the summer school invited speakers, at an international level, will give presentations reviewing different areas. Moreover, the attendees have the opportunity of giving presentations and working in groups.


Læringsmål:

En studerende, der fuldt ud har opfyldt kursets mål, vil kunne:
  • Identify relevant techniques from other fields related to their project
  • Understand video coding including distributed video coding
  • Understand variational methods
  • Understand PDE based image coding
  • Understand processing for backlight dimming
  • Analyze novel advanced methods for their project work
  • Establish connections between image/video coding and processing techniques
  • Communicate advanced substance to students from a related field

Kursusindhold:

The course is conducted as a Ph.D. summer school of one week duration.

A fee may be required for participation. For participants under Open University, a tuition fee may be added.
