Overordnede kursusmål:

The course objective is to let students work with existing technology in order to create a system for audience tracking. The system should be affordable and pose only a little or no inconvenience for the audience. The system design, related considerations and testing results are describe in a order to be evaluated by the client/customer


Læringsmål:

En studerende, der fuldt ud har opfyldt kursets mål, vil kunne:
  • Analyze the tracking problem and list solutions based on various technologies
  • evalute the various solutions and establish a rating based on performance vs resources
  • design and order/create a prototype of the optimum solution
  • plan and perform a field test
  • evaluate the results of the field test
  • communicate in a report the aims and problems, methodologies used and the solutikons
  • present (orally) the results og the project

Kursusindhold:

The annual Roskilde music festival, has an audience of about 80.000 persons. The organizers of the festival has a desire to monitor the movement and whereabouts of these people in order to avoid congestions and possibly hazardous situations. Solutions to be evaluated may range from individual tagging to Qualitatively mass monitoring and from real time monitpring to hourly updating
