Overordnede kursusmål:

To introduce the participants to current research in molecular modelling of polymer dynamics.


Kursusindhold:

Characteristics of complex fluids; intermolecular interactions; equilibrium statistical mechanics; coarse-grained models; sampling and Monte Carlo simulation; molecular dynamics simulation; linear and nonlinear viscoelasticity; stochastic processes and Brownian motion; Langevin and Fokker-Planck equations; Brownian dynamics simulations; hydrodynamics; viscoelastic fluid mechanics; applications to biophysics, rheology and microfluidics.
