This course focuses on data-based decision making from the perspective of sustainability. The aim is to have knowledge of the most prevalent sustainability data types and sources, and to be able to interpret and leverage data for sustainability strategy and reporting. • Identify and classify most relevant and prominent sustainability databases
• Understand the language of LCA life cycle assessment models
• Understand how the carbon credits market functions
• Identify lates developments related to biodiversity indicators and associate legislation
• Master data-based management language
• Design sustainability metrics for strategic purposes
• Ability to critically access data in different formats
• Understand and design for sustainability reporting requirements

This course provides a view on sustainability-focused data management, emphasizing the design of relevant metrics and reporting structures essential for informed decision-making. Participants will learn to classify key sustainability data, understand LCA models and carbon credits, and critically assess data to support strategy.
